Start with the tube
Identify the tube material and its outside diameter. Push-in fittings must match the outside diameter of the tube. A tube that appears close in size may still be incompatible.
Identify the thread
Record the thread size and standard on the connected component. Metric, BSP and NPT connections are not automatically interchangeable. Send a drawing or an existing model code if the thread is unknown.
Choose the connection geometry
Straight, elbow, tee and Y fittings route the air line differently. Check the available space around the port, the tube bend and access for installation and maintenance.
Check the working conditions
Confirm the working medium, pressure and temperature against the exact fitting and tube specification. Material and seal compatibility also matter in demanding environments.
These checklists support product inquiries. The technical documentation for the exact model takes precedence.
